Cotillion Attire

Ladies must wear knee-length party dress with a minimum one inch wide shoulder coverage.  White gloves, tights, closed toe shoes with a maximum one inch heel.

Formal Attire

Floor length party dress, tights, closed toe dress shoes, opera or short gloves.

Casual Attire

Ladies must wear knee-length dress with a minimum one inch shoulder coverage.  Closed toe shoe.

No gloves necessary.


Cotillion Attire

Boys must wear a dark suit or dark blazer with khakis.   White shirt, neck tie, dress socks and leather loafers or dress shoes in a dark brown or black.

Formal Attire

Boys must wear dark suit or tuxedo, white shirt,  bow tie or long tie, dress socks and shoes.

Casual Attire

Gentlemen must wear khaki pants, collared button-down shirt, blazer and business or dress shoes.

No tie necessary.

Costume attire is open to individual expression as long as a few rules are upheld.

  • Nothing scary.  We have younger siblings in attendance and it would be inappropriate.

  • No additional equipment.  It is hard to dance while holding a stick, ball or other item and we do not want anyone to get inadvertently hurt. 

This is offered as a fun, year-end party so let your imagination be your guide:)

For the Observers

Business or cocktail attire.  Children should be in nice casual attire.  No denim, please.

Addington Cotillion reserves the right to refuse service to those that are not dressed in appropriate attire.
