Susan Werner earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach in 1993. She is a member of the Psi Chi Honor Society and holds certifications in Etiquette and International Protocol from the Protocol School of Washington in Washington, D.C.
Susan has taught etiquette at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach since 1998 and served as an instructor of International Protocol for CSULB Extension Services from 2000–2003.
From 1999–2002, Susan hosted the local access television program Susan Werner At Home, which focused on “graceful living” in Southern California. The program highlighted local charities and featured segments on floral design, table setting, etiquette, and entertaining. More recently, she appeared on the television program Parents Just Don’t Understand, in which a ten-year-old boy named Cole switched roles with his mother for a day — including attending cotillion.

Charitable work has always been an important part of Susan’s life. She is a former board member of the Long Beach Grand Cru, a wine tasting event benefiting the Legal Aid Society of Los Angeles. She also served as County Public Relations Officer for the Philharmonic Society of Orange County and as Head Advisor for the Junior Philharmonic.
